The International Council of Design is pleased to announce that the 31 General Assembly (31GA) will be held in November 2026 in Madrid, Spain. The event will be hosted by Iberoamérica Diseña (ID), with whom ICoD has recently established an affiliate relationship — a partnership we are proud to celebrate with this gathering.

Alongside the General Assembly, ICoD and Iberoamérica Diseña will co-host a joint design conference, bringing together design professionals, academics, and advocates from around the world. Madrid's vibrant design scene and rich cultural landscape promise a truly inspiring setting, with a wealth of design events taking place across the city at the same time.

We are excited to be bringing this event together and will be sharing full details very soon, including exact dates, registration information, and accommodation. Mark your calendars for the first half of November 2026, and we encourage all Members to begin planning their attendance.

ICoD welcomes Iberoamérica Diseña as newest affiliate

The new affiliation strengthens ICoD's presence across the Ibero-American region, deepening connections between design communities dedicated to positioning design as a central force for socioeconomic and cultural development spanning Europe and the Americas.
