10th Brazilian Graphic Design Biennial

From 05.12.2014 Exhibition

Brazil

(Sao Paulo, Brazil) - , the Brazilian Graphic Designers Association has been organizing the Brazilian Graphic Design Biennial since 1992. It features design projects professionally developed by Brazilian design professionals, studios and agencies, with the last two editions also welcoming a few extremely high quality graduation projects. Nine issues of Brazilian Graphic Design Biennials – in 1992, 1994, 1996, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004 (which included Icograda Design Week: Frontiers), 2006 and 2009 – have, therefore, exhibited over 2,000 of the finest designs produced in the country (or by Brazilian designers abroad) in the last two decades. Each one of the last three editions of the Biennial have exhibited an average of 320 projects (from +2,000 entries). In order to fill the gap left by the unfortunate cancellation of the 2011 edition, ADG Brasil decided that the 2013 edition will aim to gather about 500+ projects developed between 2009 and 2012, the largest selection of Brazilian graphic design projects ever. This 10th edition of the Biennial will be the most international one of them all – even more than the 9th, which was presented at the 2009 Beijing Icograda World Design Congress, as well as in Shanghai and Mexico City. Aiming for a very sustainable format (with an online judging system that features 70 judges from 13 countries), the catalog will be a bilingual (Portuguese / English) free download app.
