40th graphic design exhibition

ICoD is pleased to announce the Member Event 40th Graphic Design Exhibition, organised by the Association of Graphic Designers of Turkey (GMK). The Exhibition will be open at MSGSÜ Tophane-i Âmire Culture and Art Center and online until 8 November 2021.

SUMMARY

Organized by the Association of Graphic Designers of Turkey (GMK) since 1981, the Graphic Design Exhibition welcomed its visitors on October 12, 2021 in Tophane-i Amire exhibition hall in İstanbul. The exhibition can also be viewed online and constitutes as a memory for graphic design in Turkey every year.

Graphic Design Awards, which are given every year as part of the exhibition, were presented on October 8, 2021, at an online award ceremony that was broadcast live on the GMK YouTube channel.

222 graphic designers applied to the exhibition with 563 designs in 22 categories. Award-winning designs were determined as a result of the online evaluations carried out by the selection committees between September 2 and 7, 2021. In addition to the Graphic Design Awards, six other special awards were presented to the winners at the ceremony.

EVENT DESCRIPTION

The 40th Graphic Design Exhibition opened its doors on October 12, 2021. Organized with the main sponsorship of Kurukahveci Mehmet Efendi, the exhibition can be visited at MSGSÜ Tophane-i Âmire Culture and Art Center between October 12 and November 8, 2021. The exhibition, which serves as a memory for graphic design in Turkey and celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, can also be viewed online at sergi.gmk.org.tr as of October 8, 2021.
