As the creative industry within China continues to demonstrate an increasing importance in the country's economic development, the value of designers has been recognised as essential to this process. Consequently, the success of design programmes at colleges throughout the country continues to soar, producing countless job-ready graduates each year. However, graduates are faced with the immense challenge of finding employment within the already competitive industry, and the decrease in job opportunities during the economic downturn makes the situation even harder.

China Design Education & Enterprise Development Summit hopes to discuss the opportunities and challenges around these issues with people from every aspects of the design industry. The Summit will build a platform that schools of design, enterprises and designers can use to communicate effectively. Through this process, participants can work to clarify ideas and resolve the problems by talking and listening from every aspect and viewpoint. Likewise, the Summit aims to provide references for the training of China's creative design talents.

The event is open to experts in practice and education, professors and education supervisors from schools of arts and art specialties in universities around the country.
