CanadaICoD is pleased to announce the Member Event DesignThinkers Toronto 2017 happening 7-8 November 2017 at the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts in Toronto (Canada) organised by Registered Graphic Designers (RGD).
DesignThinkers is an annual conference with a mission to gather diverse perspectives to explore the processes of design and creativity. The DT TO audience is primarily creative directors, art directors, communication designers and student designers. The theme for this year's DesignThinkers is Perspectives and speakers include Nicholas Blechman, Paul Sahre, Chris Do, Stephen Gates, Mike Germano, Timothy Goodman, Emily Oberman, Mike Rigby and Mimi Valdes.
The speakers cover one or more of the following, through examples from their work, as well as helping our attendees to apply insights into their own work:
- Explore the processes of design and design thinking in order to develop positive relationships with clients, develop more meaningful work, etc.
- Reflect on the role of communication design plays in business and society and the value it offers.
- Examine how the design and communications industries are changing based on trends, such as in technology, demographics or business.
There are four talk streams which occur simultaneously. The talks are split between Inspiration, Trends, Strategy and Interactions. Attendees can pick which of the four talks they would like to attend. A list of our speakers can be found on the conference website. DT TO will also have panels throughout the day, and the speakers will be signing books during the break and at the end of the day.
