About the exhibition

Two graphic designers from Brno, Czech Republic, Jan Rajlich Sr. (90) and Jan Rajlich Jr. (60), father and son, will remember their joint jubilee ("150 years of Jan Rajlich") with a selection of their all-time best posters in the city of Brno.

The exhibition will be held in paralell with the 24 International Biennale of Graphic Design Brno 2010.

About the designers

Jan Sr. was the founder of the Brno Biennale and president of the 1 to the 15 Brno Biennale in 1963-1992, Jan Jr. was president of the 16 to the 18 Brno Biennales in 1993-1998, and since 1998 he has been the president of the (a member of Icograda).
 
Jan Rajlich Sr. has received three awards from Icograda: a Certificate of Appreciation in 1983, an Icograda Excellence Award / Presidents Trophy in 1985, and an Achievement Award in 2002. Jan Sr. also received the City of Brno Prize in 1995, and Jan Jr. received the City of Brno Prize in 2001.
