ICAD design days 2024: is it kind?

ICoD is pleased to announce the Member Event the ICAD Design Days 2024: Is it Kind? hosted and organised by INTI International College Subang. The design event features a series of curated activities, including talks, workshops, and exhibitions. The event will take place at INTI International College Subang, SS15, from 30 April to 07 May 2024.

SUMMARY

This year's theme, "Is it Kind?" aligns with ICoD’s International Design Day, aiming to unite various design disciplines, celebrate industry diversity, and raise awareness of the world's increasing interconnectedness and its impact on our well-being.

This year’s ICAD Design Days will explore the concept of kindness within a multidisciplinary community and how individuals visually represent this idea — Bridging Kindness Through Art and Design. At ICAD, we strive to nurture aspiring creatives to value kindness and its impact on our creative community, focusing on the cross-pollination of ideas regarding kindness and its role/significance in today’s ever-changing world.

SPEAKER SERIES

ICAD Design Days (IDD) will kick off on 30 April 2024, with the “Bringing Kindness” Speaker Series, featuring keynote speakers:

• Asri Ahmad CiDe, Industrial Designer, Creative Consultant and Director of Rifaie Chua & Sethi Sdn Bhd
• Will Sii, Illustrator, and Founder of We Post, We Care!
• Razak Aziz, Chief Seeder, and Founder of SEEDS Malaysia

In addition to our keynote speakers, we are also excited to have with us the Budimas Charitable Foundation, a Non-Governmental and Non-Profit Organization, dedicated to providing guidance and funding in support of the welfare and well-being of orphans and underprivileged children in Malaysia.

ICAD DESIGN DAYS EVENTS

ICAD Design Days will continue until 07 May 2024, with the following events:

“Reaching Kindness” Art Bazaar
A creative art bazaar inspired by the legal model of Duty of Care. Organized by local artists Wecare and Bezpop, this art bazaar aims to support kindness with the Budimas Charitable Foundation, an NGO whose mission is dedicated to helping orphaned and underprivileged children to have normal childhoods.

“Framing Kindness” Exhibition
Centering Humanity through Art & Design— Compiled onto pieces of sustainable fabric into a mixed-media art installation, this exciting exhibition is created from the collected expressions and thoughts of kindness from the ICAD community.
