ICoD is pleased to announce the Member Event Vuoden Huiput Creative Festival organised by Grafia Association for Visual Communications Designers in Finland on 1 March 2018 in Helsinki. Be inspired, get connected and evolve at the second edition of Vuoden Huiput Creative Festival!

Vuoden Huiput Festival is here to wake up your creativity! The event gathers together Finnish and foreign forerunners from various creative practices. During the one-day festival you will hear high level keynote speakers and discussions, embrace your creativity at tailored hands-on sessions and meet some of the most forward-thinking minds of the field. Shortlist of Vuoden Huiput Competition will be announced at the festival and the jurors will shed light on the selection process.

At the Vuoden Huiput Festival you’ll be inspired by creative talks, encounters and workshops as well as network with other creative professionals. The objectives for the festival include raising the quality of design in Finland, strenghtening creativity and originality and providing a platform for networking and professional development.

Vuoden Huiput Creative Festival was organised for the first time in 2017 as a side event for Vuoden Huiput Best of Finnish Advertising and Design Competition, which has been organised since 1980. At the festival, the shortlist for the competition is revealed and one main objective of the festival is to promote the shortlisted works and to shed light on the jury process.

Vuoden Huiput is organised by Grafia - Association of Visual Communication Designers in Finland, an organisation promoting the benefits of its members, which include professionals and students of graphic design, marketing communications, digital visual design, illustration and layout design among others. At the festival, the programme is curated so that design in its many forms is present in all presentations.

The programme consists of keynote speeches, presentations, workshops and discussions. Already confirmed speakers include Eike König (HORT), Alexandra Taylor, Wang & Söderström and Gilles & Cecilie. Full programme will be released in February 2018. In addition to the one day festival, a 2 day workshop will be organised during the following days, led by D&AD President's awarded, acclaimed art director Alexandra Taylor. Full programme and timetables will be published at festival.vuodenhuiput.fi.
