Ensuring the privacy of our users' personal data is of the utmost significance. In the course of the use of this website, the Council may process personal data. The creation of a Member record in the directory or user accounts to manage the Member record and access the Member Area ("my ICoD") may include the User's first and last name, address, phone number and email address. Other services including registration to the newsletter and Council planned virtual and in-person events also.  


INFORMATION COLLECTED AUTOMATICALLY

When you use the International Council of Design's website we automatically collect data about you and the way you use the Website e.g. your browser type, search terms used on the website, your IP-address including your network location and information about your computer. The purpose of our processing is to optimise the user experience and the website's functionality including creating statistics. This processing of personal data is necessary in order for us to pursue our legitimate interest in operating and improving the International Council of Design's website. The Council does not collect any unique information about you (such as your name, e-mail address etc), except when you specifically and knowingly provide such information.

We vet our data processors to ensure that such data processors implement appropriate organisational and technical security measures in such a way that the processing complies with the legal requirements to ensure the protection of your data rights.
