ICoD Launches Survey Ahead of First-Ever Balkan Europe Regional Meeting
17.05.2026 Announcements
The International Council of Design (ICoD) invites designers worldwide to participate in a preparatory survey ahead of its inaugural Regional Meeting in Balkan Europe, to be held in Sofia, Bulgaria, in June 2026.
The meeting's theme, Confessions of a Designer: Design, Decisions and Impact, sets the stage for an honest, practitioner-led conversation about the realities of design decision-making amid today's geopolitical, economic, and technological pressures, including the growing influence of artificial intelligence.
The survey is open to all. Responses will directly shape the Collective Mapping Sessions at the Sofia meeting, helping session chairs identify shared patterns, tensions, and open questions across regions. Participants who are unable to attend in person are especially encouraged to contribute.
All responses are confidential. Participation takes only a few minutes, and respondents may answer all questions or only those most relevant to their practice.
Your perspective matters, whether you are in the room in Sofia or contributing from afar.
The survey deadline is 6 June 2026.
