New York (United States) - Because the New Graphis Design Journal will be devoting one of its issues to design from Europe, Africa and the Middle East, it is making a call to designers working in these regions to submit work before 30 September 2005. This Journal aims to feature the best graphic design from these regions.

Graphis, The International Journal of Visual Communication, was first published in 1944 by Walter Herdeg in Zurich, Switzerland, In 1986, B. Martin Pedersen was given the opportunity to purchase Graphis and relocated its headquarters to New York City, where he published six issues a year that contained articles on Design, Advertising, Photography and Illustration. Recently the publisher decided to change its format and devote each issue to a specific discipline. Thus, beginning with issue #357, Graphis will be publishing a Design Journal, an Advertising Journal and a Photography Journal, each three times per year.
