Brussels (Belgium) - Icograda will hold a two-day symposium to launch the Education Network, an international network of educational institutions that offer programs in graphic design. The inaugural event will be held 20-21 June 2002 in Brno (Czech Republic). Representatives of 50 schools from around the world will exchange views on the future of graphic design education, and develop an agenda for the networking initiative.

Day 1 of the symposium will feature presentations and panel discussions on the state of graphic design education worldwide. On Day 2, participants will define the structure and agenda for the network and review a proposed Education Network website. The dedicated website will provide a high profile opportunity for member schools to present current programs and exhibit student work. Following the symposium, membership to the network will be opened to all schools.

The event will follow the Icograda 'Identity/Integrity' Conference in Brno, which will be held 18-19 June 2002, and will run concurrently with the Icograda 'East Meets West' Student Workshop. For more information about events in Brno, visit http://www.brno2002.cz
