SAPPI SELECTS STOCKHOLM FOR ITS ANNUAL EUROPEAN PRINT AWARDS CELEBRATION

Brussels (Belgium) - On 14 October 2005 Sappi announced that the 2006 Sappi European Printers of the Year gala awards presentation will take place in Stockholm, Sweden. Last year the event took place in the historic Topkapi Palace in Istanbul, Turkey and was attended by 330 printers and paper suppliers from across Europe and the Middle East.
Gold, silver and bronze awards will be presented in nine categories: annual reports, books, brochures, calendars, catalogues, general print, magazines, packaging and labels and printers own promotions. All the award winners will be flown to Stockholm with their partners to receive their awards.
The Sappi Printers of the Year award winners are selected by an independent impartial panel of print experts, explains Sappi Fine Paper Europe's communications manager Craig Halgreen. "No quality minded printer should have any reason not to rise to the challenge and prove that he can produce print of the highest quality for his customers. Previous award recipients have confirmed that this award brought both pride and additional high quality orders into their business."
With some 6,000 entrants each year, the global Sappi Printers of the Year competition is well-recognised as the most prestigious and impressively celebrated in the world.
The closing date for entries is the 31 January 2006 and printers are invited to download the entry form from www.sappi.com/PrintersOfTheYear or contact their local Sappi sales office.
