A BOLIVIAN PERSPECTIVE AT ICOGRADA 'DESIGN IN LATIN AMERICA' SEMINAR

Brussels (Belgium) - Natalia Campero Romero will represent Bolivia at the 'Design in Latin America' Icograda Regional Design Seminar, to be held 28 April 2004 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Natalia joins other confirmed presenters from Argentian, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela to showcase design talent from across Latin America.
Natalia Campero Romero was born in La Paz, Bolivia in 1972. She graduated as a Graphic Designer at the Universidad del Pacifico in Santiago, Chile. When she returned to Bolivia she worked in several design studios in La Paz and Santa Cruz until she opened her own in 1998 called Iconografica. Natalia is currently teaching at the Graphic Design School at the Catholic University in La Paz.
Campero is an avid promoter of her profession, acting as a graphic design lecturer and event organiser. She was the General Director for Catalografica 2002, the first Bolivian Graphic design and illustration catalogue. Last year, she and her fellow colleagues organised Bolivia's First Iberoamerican Poster Biennial with the participation of designers from 14 Latin American countries. She has published numerous articles about Bolivian graphic design and her design work has been published in Brazil and Bolivia in the magazines Nueva Econom a, Cosas, Catalografica and Revista Escape.
