Bundang-gu Seongnam City (Korea) - The Korea Institute of Design Promotion (KIDP) is pleased to announce DESIGN KOREA 2005. KIDP is an associate (promotional) member of Icograda.

The event has received the support of the International Council of Graphic Design Association (Icograda), the International Council of Societies of Industrial Design (Icsid), the Korea Federation of Design Association (KFDA), the Federation of Korean Industries (FKI), the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), the Korea Federation of Small Medium Business (KFSB) and Korea International Trade Association (KITA). It will be hosted by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy at the COEX Atlantic Hall, COEX Auditorium from 1-10 December, 2005.

More than 500 award winning designs from 2004 and 2005, representing 18 countries will be showcased in the exhbition World Best Design Exchange 2005 Seoul. Exhibition pieces have been selected by the design associations or centers of each country. Included in the exhibition will be:

- Observeur Du Design (France)
- Compasso d Oro (Italy)
- National Design Prizes (Spain)
- China Industrial Design Award (China)
- Natioanl Austrian Design Prize (Austria)
- Design Effectiveness Awards (U.K.)
- National Award for Design (Czech Republic)
- Dutch Design Awards (The Netherlands)
- The Danish Design Prize (Denmark)
- Prijzen Henry van de Velde (Belgium)
- Fennia Prize (Finland)
- Singapore Design Award (Singapore)
- red dot design award (Germany)
- Industrial Design Excellence Awards (U.S.A)
- iF product design award (Germany)
- Good Design Products Selection (Republic of Korea)
- Australian Design Awards (Australia)
- G-mark (Japan)

Other activities will include a presentation day for design firms to discuss trends in the industry, a business-to-business presentation for corporations to network, and a portfolio day for design students.
