Toronto (Canada) - Designers seeking recognition for their creative talent can now apply for Applied Arts Design & Advertising Awards 2010, one of the largest and most-respected show of its kind in Canada.

The competition is organised by International Design Media Network participant, , which targets creative professionals (graphic designers, art directors, photographers, illustrators and creative directors) who work in both the traditional and digital media.

Winners will receive maximum exposure in these high-profile media platforms:
  • Showcased in the Design & Advertising Awards, published in the November/December 2010 issue of Applied Arts, with a readership of more than 46 000, including many potential clients.
  • Featured in the Design & Advertising Awards Winners online gallery, on www.appliedartsmag.com, which attracts more than 200 000 visitors annually.
  • All winning work will be displayed at the annual Awards Winners' Exhibit, held in Toronto, in fall 2010. Winners will be invited to an exclusive event attended by senior design and advertising creative people, as well as by fellow winners.
  • All entrants receive a copy of the Design & Advertising Awards Annual. Winners receive two.
  • Winners also receive an Awards Certificate for each winning piece.

Junior designers can now enter the new Young Blood categories, designed for young creatives who have been out of school for five years or less. Young Blood winning entries will receive the same great exposure as all of the Design Advertising Awards winners, with the exception that the highest scoring entry on both the Advertising and the Design side will receive additional editorial coverage in a future issue of Applied Arts.

Those wishing to enter have until 7 May 2010 to fill out the online entry form.
