Ljubljana (Slovenia) - On 2 October 2008, after reviewing the 126 exhibits from 18 countries, a prestigious international Jury will present this year's : the BIO gold medals, the BIO good design awards and the BIO honorable mentions.

The 21st Biennial of Industrial Design international Selection Committee has chosen works that propose creative and innovative solutions to problems of life today, that are concerned with sustainable development and social responsibility and that address the special needs of various groups of users.

The Biennial of Industrial Design is a comparative international exhibition of industrial design, visual communications and design concepts. With a tradition of more than forty years, BIO presents the latest design achievements from all over the world.

Along with the awards ceremony, a series of design event will be taking place throughout September and October. Visit the event website for more details.

Opening: Thursday, 2 October 2008, at 8 pm.
Exhibition dates: 2 October - 2 November 2008, open from 10 am - 6 pm daily
Location: The Arhitecture Museum of Ljubljana, Fuzine Castle Ljubljana, Slovenia
