ICOGRADA EDUCATION NETWORK WELCOMES PHILADELPHIA UNIVERSITY

Montreal (Cananda) - Philadelphia University, in Amman Jordan, is the
newest member of the Icograda Education Network. Formed in 1999, the
university offers a four year undergraduate programme in Graphic Design
and introduced an Interior Design programme in 2006. The design
department has a student enrollment of 260, with a faculty of seven.
The Icograda Education Network (IEN) brings together the worldwide community of communication design educational institutions. The IEN was inaugurated at a meeting in Brno, Czech Republic, in June 2002. Today, the network includes 75 schools in 54 countries.
The IEN's objectives include:
? creating opportunities for exchange and collaboration at all levels of graphic design education (institutions, faculty and students)
? examining current and future needs and challenges of design education
? advancement of teaching methods and research opportunities
? organising collaborative projects, seminars, symposia, conferences, etc.
? sharing experiences for mutual benefit.
