Institute of Designers in Ireland announces Graduate Designer Awards Call for Entries

Dublin (Ireland) - The are now accepting submissions for their Graduate Awards 2010. The IDI Graduate Designer Awards is a juried multidisciplinary showcase of the very best 3rd level graduate design work in Ireland. An annual exhibition is held following the awards which highlights and promotes the winners of the Awards. This exhibition will promote high quality contemporary design thinking and craft excellence in Ireland.
Design graduates (third level or Postgraduate) in the current calendar year are invited to submit work under the following categories:
Works demonstrating strong design value and innovation, aesthetic content and resolve and quality of craftsmanship will be eligible for the following Graduate Design Awards:
In addition to three dimensional work, a number of large scale design illustration prints will be used to exhibit specific categories of work in this exhibition. Visual Communication will be exhibited in this manner. Exhibition/interiors and product/industrial design category entries will have design illustrations included together with three dimensional models or as an alternative method of display.
If you are not already a member of the IDI you must include a cheque for €20 made payable to the IDI. This also entitles you to one year's student membership.

- Interior Design and Interior Architecture
- New Media
- Product Design (industrial or craft based)
- Visual Communication

- IDI Masters Award
- IDI Grand Prix Award (not including Masters)
