Poster for Tomorrow recognised by French Ministry of Education

Paris (France) - , the main project of 4tomorrow, an independent, non-profit organisation based in Paris, has received the patronage of the French Ministry for Education, youth, social and local community life. Organisers hope to develop collaborations and relationships with French colleges, schools and high schools, with the aim of organising and proposing graphic design workshops based on social topics.
Established in 2009, the first two editions of the project received over 4000 posters from 81 countries and hosted more than 70 exhibitions on 5 continents. The theme for the 2011 edition is 'The Right to Education." Previous themes have been the right to freedom of expression and the abolition of the death penalty. The goal is to to stimulate debate on issues that affect us all.
New in 2011, the project expanded to offer a series of workshops across Africa, giving young African designers the chance to work with some of the leading designers in the world.
The first phase is judged online by a pre-selection committee of 100 members of the media, advertising and design industries, together with representatives from charities and education institutions professionals. They will select between 300-400 posters to go forward to the final judging phase.
The final phase will be conducted by a jury of nine leading graphic designers from around the world. They will meet in Paris in September to select the 100 posters that will published in the “Right to Education” catalogue and exhibited around the world on “a day for tomorrow” – 10 December. They will also select 10 posters that will be entered into the permanent collections of several design museums.

Call for entries deadline: 10 July
The Right to Education competition is open for entries until 10 July 2011. Posters will be judged in two phases by two different international juries.The first phase is judged online by a pre-selection committee of 100 members of the media, advertising and design industries, together with representatives from charities and education institutions professionals.
