La Habana (Cuba) - The Sixth Week of Design in Cuba, an annual event under the auspices the National Office for Industrial Design (ONDI) with a view to create a space for debate, reflection and exchange amongst professionals and students of design and other related careers, as well as the general public, took place from 23-26 May, 2006.

The opening day program was devoted to fashion and clothing design, in the form of an homage to Rafael de Leon Duarte, who received the Design National Award 2005. The ceremonies included a retrospective exhibition of his work.
