Seongnam City (South Korea) - The Korea Institute of Design Promotion (KIDP) invites professional designers and students from around the world to enter the competition for The 2nd Korea International Poster Biennial. The biennial is endorsed by Icograda* and aims to show the direction of the graphic design industry as it moves through the digital and information age. Participants may submit works under three categories: Commercial, Cultural and Public Campaign Posters. Entries must be finished works of offset or silk-screen printing and printed as posters after 19 October 2002. The submission deadline for the poster competition is 30 October 2004.

The 2nd Korea International Poster Biennale

1. Purpose
This exhibition aims to show the future direction of graphic design industry that takes the center stage in the 21st century, a century of information and digitalisation.

7. Entry Rules
A. Closing Date for entries: 1 October 2004 - 30 October 2004.
* If you apply by mail, your application must be received by the secretariat no later than 30 October 2004.

B. Entries must be finished works of offset or silk-screen printing and printed in poster after 19 October 2002.

C. There is no number restriction of entry submission.

D. Entries should be no smaller than 59.4 mm x 84.1 mm (A1 Size) and no larger than 103.0 mm x 145.6 mm (B0 Size).

E. There is no registration Fee.

F. Entries shall not be returned.

G. Entry forms must be enclosed in a sealed envelope along with the posters. A copy of the entry label must be fixed with adhesive tape to the lower-right corner on the rear side of each poster. Entry form is downloadable at the homepage. (http://www.designdb.com/english)

H. Only one copy of catalogue published by organiser will be available to each entrant at a 50% discount.

I. All the posters selected by the jury for the competitive exhibition become the property of the organisers. The organisers have the right to freely use any submitted posters and/or slides (including the making of photo/slide reproductions and video recordings of the exhibits) in order to promote the exhibition, produce the catalogue, and for educational purposes.

J. Judges, their family partners and their business partners cannot participate in the competition.

8. Delivery of submissions
A. Posters must be sent with a non-commercial value statement, to the following address;

B. Two copies of each work (unframed and unmounted, in a hard protective cover), color slide (more than 120mm) and Entry Form must be sent.

9. Judging
Judging process will be conducted impartially by a judge panel composed of world-famous graphic designers and experts.
