Brussels (Belgium) - In June 2002, Brno (Czech Republic) will be the site of four Icograda Design Perspectives Seminars. This series of evening events will address the changing face of graphic design in Central and Eastern Europe, and will coincide with the Icograda "Identity/Integrity" Conference and the 20th Brno Biennial.

he dramatic geopolitical changes of the past decade and the introduction of market-oriented systems have presented new challenges to the graphic design communities of Central and Eastern Europe. Presentations from 12 countries will reflect the state of graphic design in this region and will offer a rare opportunity to view the diverse range of work from Central and Eastern European designers. Attendance is free of charge. 
 
Seminar Schedule (19:00 to 20:30 each evening):
Monday, 17 June: Design in Bosnia/Herzegovina, Lithuania and Poland 
Wednesday, 19 June: Design in Croatia, Hungary and Estonia 
Thursday, 20 June: Design in Yugoslavia, Russia and Slovakia 
Friday, 21 June: Design in Ukraine, Slovenia and Czech Republic 
 
Launched in 2001, Icograda Design Perspectives events present graphic design from a global viewpoint. This year, Icograda Design Perspectives Seminars will be presented in Vancouver (Canada), Brno (Czech Republic), Beijing and Shanghai (China), Taipei (Taiwan) and Barcelona (Spain).
